Ray Ozzie departing Microsoft notes

Ray Ozzie (born November 20, 1955) is currently Chief Software Architect at Microsoft. In October 2010 it was announced that he has begun a transition period of several months after which he will leave the company. Before his time with Microsoft, he was best known for his role in creating Lotus Notes.

After 5 years with Microsoft Ray Ozzie is concluding “The next five years will bring about yet another inflection point — a transformation that will once again yield unprecedented opportunities for our company and our industry catalyzed by the huge and inevitable shift in apps and infrastructure that’s truly now just begun.” [from Reuters].

Will we see him on the IBM, Google or Apple team? That to be seen…
